The Traitors Season 3: Château de Biron, the birthplace of a French history traitor

Les Traîtres, saison 3
For its third season, broadcast from 15 August 2024, M6 selected a château steeped in betrayal. Among some 300 locations scouted, the production chose Biron, in the Périgord Pourpre, home to the Gontaut-Biron family for eight centuries. One factor weighed heavily: it was here that Charles de Gontaut, Duke of Biron and Marshal of Henri IV, was beheaded in 1602 for conspiring against his king. Twenty contestants played cat and mouse, before the château hosted 'New Generation', the spin-off series for content creators.
