In Picauville, at the heart of the Cotentin marshes, the Isle-Marie estate is seeking a new owner. Marketed by an agency in Carentan and listed by SAFTI Prestige for £2,920,000, this fortified complex dating back to the 11th century offers 1,560 sq m of living space and around 82 hectares of land, parks and woodland at the confluence of the Douve and Merderet rivers. Used as a guesthouse until spring 2020, then repurposed as a shared workspace for remote workers, the estate is now awaiting a project capable of restoring over 3,000 sq m of abandoned outbuildings.
