Château de Pompadour: Halloween for families, then for grown-ups

On 24–25 October 2026, make-up workshops and treasure hunts await families at the Château de Pompadour in Corrèze; on 30–31 October, immersive projections and a disco take over for a more adult Halloween.

Despite its name, the Château de Pompadour never belonged to the marquise of the same name: it is the village of Arnac that earned its noble particle long before Louis XV established France’s oldest national stud farm here in 1761. Every autumn, this 11th-century château—cradle of the Anglo-Arab horse—transforms for Halloween with two contrasting events: a family-focused weekend at the end of October and a distinctly spookier gathering for All Saints’ Day.
