In the Netherlands, millions of viewers know Béguin Castle without ever having set foot in Allier. For three seasons, this discreet estate in Lurcy-Lévis served as the backdrop for « De Verraders », the Dutch adaptation of the game The Traitors broadcast on RTL 4 since 2021. The premise is simple and ruthless: around twenty celebrities live together in a castle, three of them are secretly designated as « traitors » and eliminate a « faithful » each night, while the group attempts to unmask them around a round table. In this game of suspicion, the castle is not merely a backdrop: grand halls, towers and wooded parks are integral to the drama. From Kerkrade to the Belgian Ardennes, here are the homes that have hosted the conspiracies, season by season.
