Château de Plaisir: after two years of works, a conservatoire in the 1620s manor house

In the Yvelines, the Château de Plaisir, built around 1620, has completed a restoration launched in late 2024: roof trusses, rooftops, dovecote and geothermal heating before the installation of the conservatoire, scheduled for late 2026 or 2027.

The scaffolding has vanished from the façades of the Château de Plaisir in the Yvelines: the exterior of this 17th-century manor house, including its dovecote, was completed by summer 2026, according to local press reports. Interior works (flooring, technical networks, acoustics) remain before an opening scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027. The monument, which has seen little major intervention for nearly 90 years, is set to house the town’s music conservatoire and a public events venue.
