A 15th-century staircase tower, an 18th-century manor house, a timber frame over six centuries old: in Huillé, Anjou, this unassuming manor house has been undergoing a three-phase restoration since 2023. For the Heritage Open Days on 19 and 20 September 2026, its owners exceptionally opened the site—by reservation only—to showcase the progress of the works.

In Huillé, Anjou, a 15th-century manor house and its medieval timber frame have been undergoing a three-phase restoration since 2023. The first phase, completed in summer 2024, saved the timber frame; the next stages focus on joinery and roofing.

The castle remains a private residence, closed to the public outside these occasional openings. Such long-term projects, led by private owners, represent a significant share of the restoration of Anjou’s lesser-known heritage, far from the grand state monuments.
